Therapeutic massage benefits your body. It gets results. It’s beyond stress relief. It coaxes your body back in balance. Pain relief. Swelling relief. Easier movement. Easier breathing.

Every person has a different experience. But in the hands of a skilled therapist, you’ll leave feeling better.  Here are 10 benefits you may notice.

         1. Increased circulation.

Massage helps the body pump more oxygen & nutrients.  This feeds your tissues and organs and helps them be healthier.  It also triggers lymph flow. This is your body’s natural self-cleaning system.  Together, they improve the condition of your largest organ… your skin.

        2.  Activates the body’s self-healing

Your immune system is your body’s defense system. It’s tied to your lymph system.  When activated, it promotes self-healing.

         3. Relaxes and softens hurt or overused muscles.

When a tight or overused muscle can be relaxed, it helps to heal. It reduces pain.  Flexibility and range-of-motion improve. You’ll move more freely, stand taller and enjoy life more.

         4. Reduces spasms and cramps.

Reducing pain reduces recovery time. You heal faster and get back to enjoying life sooner.  It can also help athletes prepare for strenuous workouts.

        5. Releases natural painkillers.

Endorphins are the body’s natural painkillers. They control and relieve pain. This reduces the need for medications.  Activating them helps chronic illness or injuries.  It can also speed recovery from medical or cosmetic surgery.

        6. Reduces post-surgery adhesions and edema.

Adhesions are fibrous scar tissue. Following surgery, they can start to form.  This restricts movement and makes it painful. Correct techniques reduce and relax scar tissue.  Reduced pain means you can move more freely.

Edema is swelling. It can also follow surgery.  It’s caused when the lymph system isn’t working properly and fluids back up in an area.  Gentle lymphatic techniques drain these fluids. Swelling is immediately reduced.

        7. Reduces joint pain.

This work increases joint flexibility.  It can prepare you for strenuous workouts and improve range of motion.  Techniques of the Berry Method can correct the balance of the joint.  The joint is stabilized. Discomfort relieved and the need for surgeries delayed or eliminated.

       8. Decreases lower back pain.

Work with muscles, tendons and body balancing reduces lower back pain. You’ll move more comfortably and freely.

      9. Relieves migraine pain.

Migraines are painful and debilitating. Special sacral cranial techniques can relieve migraine pain.  This reduces the need for medications with their own side-effects.

     10. Provides exercise and stretching for weak muscles.

When a person becomes debilitated muscles can become weak.  They reduce in size and waste away. Range-of-motion becomes restricted. Proper techniques help reverse this condition.

Thanks for explaining the benefits of therapeutic massage services, such as how it can trigger lymph flow to improve the natural self-cleaning system of your body. I’d imagine that if someone wants the best results, it might help to regularly have therapeutic massages, which could also help the benefits last longer. In order to have them regularly, it would probably be a good idea to research local clinics and professionals that specialize in these services in order to find one that is nearby and has hours that fit with your schedule so you can go to them whenever you want help with your lymph flow, pain, or other conditions that can affect your health.
