CEU TMJ Workshop with Annie Siemans & Lynn Van Norman

May 2,  2018      Sunday 10-5.   Class to be held at LCC.  NCTMB CEs 7 hours

Massage therapy can help to realign problem areas. It relieves the muscle tension and relaxes the muscles by working trigger point areas. In this interactive class, we will use microcurrent to relax the jaws and muscles. We will also use intraoral techniques. We’ll share the techniques of the Berry Method® to alleviate pain and give relief to your clients.

We will work with microcurrent and learn intraoral work for TMJ problems.  Microcurrent, trigger point massage, and intraoral work combine to alleviate pain.
Your instructors:
Annie studied  Bodywork in China and the United States and has extensive knowledge in it. She specializes in and teaches pediatric massage.  She teaches the use of microcurrent to alleviate pain in trigger points. And she specializes in intraoral work for jaw pain.
Lynn Van Norman has taught Bodywork classes for over 30 years and specializes in a system called The Berry Method. It uses unique techniques to relieve pain through postural stretches, joint work, cranial work, massage, and lymphatic massage.

After taking Lynn’s CEU Lymphatic class, Melanie says:

“As a home health professional, I frequently encounter complex lung and lymphedema situations involving dyspnea (difficulty breathing). After learning Lauren’s vacuum technique in Lynn’s informative Lymphedema management class, I applied it to a woman with heart failure and an acute episode of shortness of breath.

“Within three pumps she was “90%” improved and stunned at its simplicity and effectiveness. She asked me to teach her family to perform it as it gives her such relief which I happily did. I am so glad to have learned this simple non-invasive method that brings so much relief. I also use the Decongestion massage regularly and highly recommend… this great class. Thanks, Lynn!”

Self-Care for Service Providers…

Body mechanics relieve pain.

Ergonomics and repetitive motion required to perform our jobs, daily life and hobbies can leave us with aches and pains.  Cranky, sparky, tingling wrists and hands, sore elbows, achy shoulders and lower back pain creep… or leap their way into our lives.

They hurt so bad we compensate, compromise and pop pills for pain. While a dose of ibuprofen or the like, might temporarily reduce inflammation, it doesn’t treat the underlying problems.

In this one day class, you’re going to learn Lynn’s secret techniques that she’s been using to help clients for over 40 years.  Why?  They work.

“Lynn’s techniques really do work…fast. I’ve been dealing with diagnosed carpal tunnel for about 3 years. All those years in the beauty industry and tattooing were coming back to haunt me.

“Not wanting surgery I tried chiropractic techniques, supplements and stretching.  It helped some, but the problem was still there.  Sparky wrists, numbness and restricted movement.

“In one session Lynn completely eliminated wrist pain and restored freedom of movement. And she taught me how to keep it away.”  Judith Culp Pearson.

For about the cost of a doctor’s visit, you’ll have tools you can use to

  1. Identify the problems
  2. Treat the problems
  3. Prevent future problems
  4. Delay or avoid surgery or taking drugs.
  5. Get back to enjoying life more fully.
